VTM 260 is a new generation turning and milling complex machining center developed by our company. Based on VTM 180 introduced advanced design and manufacturing technology from Germany, VTM 260 is developed by enlarging the machine specification and optimizing the structure so that it features compact structure, high rigidity, excellent process applicability and high efficiency process (turning, boring and milling, grinding). All kinds of metal and alloy work-pieces can be machined in on e setup, such as turning surface, internal and external cylindrical surface, step, various rotary curved surface, and milling surface, boring hole, drilling, tapping and threading, etc. The machine is equipped with SIEMENS 740D system and ban achieve 2-axes 4-axes simultaneous control. 5-axis simultaneous control in 7 axes can be realized through mounting swiveling milling head, and also high efficiency and high quality machining of all kinds of work-piece with complex surfaces and curved surfaces. The machine is very necessary for petroleum, metallurgy, wind power, waterpower, coal, aerospace, shipping, vehicle, military, auto, machine tool, engineering and heavy machinery industries, etc.

Surface Features:

The machine employs gantry type structure, the worktable moves forward and backward and the cross rail up and down along gantry column, the spindle box moves horizontally along the cross rail, the tool post ram moved vertically in the spindle box. The swiveling worktable offers chain cutting force during turning, and can realize CNC swiveling during milling, The machine can achieve turning, boring, drilling, tapping and milling within the whole machining area.

The machine bed and sliding seat are monolithic high strength welding structure, the structural parts including the cross rail, column and spindle box are monolithic box type casting structure, which guarantees the machine has enough rigidity to resist distortion caused by cutting force and gravity.

The overall structure and main drive are of symmetrical design, which improved thermal stability and guarantees machining accuracy. The worktable support adopts hydro-static design so as to effectively bear axial load, the structure is simple and reliable.

The worktable moving guide-way (Y axis) and guide-way of tool post spindle carriage (X axis) employ hydro-static design with excellent antivibration and stable accuracy. The movement of tool post includes X and Z simultaneous axes, cross rail moving up and down ( W axis). The three axes are driven by AC servo motors via a combined drive system of a pair of gearbox and ball screw pair.

The main drive of the worktable uses a wide speed control DC motor to drive the two-stage planet mechanism via high strength belt. The planet gearbox features compact structure and high rigidity. Milling feed and precision indexing ( C axis) of the worktable are driven by AC servo motors via double gears. The gear backlash can be eliminated by oil pressure during milling and indexing. The worktable can be clamped by clamping unit without rotation need.

Milling spindle of the tool post is driven by AC speed control motor, two-stage speed control and spindle precision stopping device are equipped. Main motor for milling and gearbox are mounted on upped end of the ram, the power can be transmitted to the spindle through the transmission shaft in the ram.

The machine is equipped with automatic head and tool changers at the right side. Head and tool changers are tower type arranged up and down. The turning tools and attachments are placed in disk type head magazine at upper end, and the milling tools in disk type tool magazine at lower end of the machine.
