The small scale gold washing plant offers the portability of smaller hand fed systems, while maintaining large scale production with a smaller footprint.Once on site, setup takes only minutes and can be accomplished by a single person.

For more efficient screening and washing the material should be fed as consistent as reasonable and as close to the top end of the hopper as possible for maximum retention on the vibrating screen deck.

The material is fed in the static hopper onto the vibrating screen.slurry is fed to the trommel scrubber. The trommel scrubber washes the clay of the material. These to fractions are commingled into the feed end of the sluice. With the sluice model the finest material is fed into a fine gold sluice and then the larger or middle fraction is introduced into the course recovery section of the sluice. When processing for diamonds the header or fed box is reversed with the sluice so that the middle fraction is fed through the trommel first and the under size material is fed into the sluice together with the trommel discharge.

The unrestricted feeding hopper allows for the occasional larger rock, however, for reducing extreme wear and impact it is recommended that the normal feed size be limited to 20cm minus. This allows for the scrubbing of the large materials liberating the gold before they are scalped off to waste.

The Expedition process gold, diamonds, etc. and is also expandable. Two or more units can be run side by side to double or triple production at a much more portable and lower cost than a larger unit and allow for a larger feeding bucket.
