Shrink PVC is commonly extruded by a double bubble process in tube form. Then it is slitted in to sheet form. This slitted material (printed or unprinted) is then formed in to tube of smaller size by a gluing machine. This process is at speed of 60 m / min. Resulting in high productivity of small size shrink tubes with thinner gauge. This is the most cost effective solution for producing shrink tubes up to 300mm lay flat. Even cut offs can be used for pen & pencil coverings which are normally, 18 or 16 mm lay flat. Thus this process saves lot of material & time of production. Which results in high profitability.
This is also used for converting reverse printed PVC sheet into PVC label sleeve. It uses cold adhesive available locally. The latest development in this machine is to coat a hot melt on printed side of heat shrinkable PVC, to restrict label from rotation.
