SELON 40-vessel high throughput closed microwave digestion/extraction workstation with 40-vessel integrated digestion rotor is the latest high throughput microwave digestion complex developed through a long time of market survey of existing similar products. The product overcomes the deficiency of existing similar products, embodies the multi-respect innovative ideas from Sineo Microwave Chemistry Technology (China) Co., Ltd. and adequately shows the innovative concept of the company as founder and leader of microwave digestion in China. It widely applies to the analytical laboratories of food, cosmetics, environment, biological, medicine and other industries needing large batch sample preparation.
After the launch of SELON-10 high throughput ultra high pressure microwave digestion/extraction/synthesis instrument in 2008, the company launched another innovative product SELON 40-vessel high throughput closed microwave digestion/extraction workstation as a big bang in 2010. Compared with existing similar products, the new product has the major “Unique” characteristics as follows:
1) The product can measure temperature and pressure when 40 vessels are heating at the same time, adopts temperature and pressure control as standard configuration, and adopts IR monitoring to the reaction parameters of all vessels.
2) The product can heat for a long time under high pressure of 4MPa.
3) The product can heat 40 samples at the same time.
4) The product can digest organic samples without pretreatment in the weight of 0.5g and above (0.5 to 1.5 g) .
5) The product eliminates digestion vessel leakage, sample loss and unclear digestion during heating.
6) Digestion vessels are inserted. horizontally to eliminate any damage caused by vertical force.
7) Total 40 vessels can be automatically put in or taken out of a chamber at the same time, and a loading trolley is used for standard configuration.
8) If necessary, the internal pressure of vessels may be relieved at any moment.
Advantages:
1. Through adopting innovative structure design, the vessel frame with integrated digestion rotor has enough strength for resisting the vertical expansive forces of all digestion vessels, and guarantees the success of chemical reactions in every digestion vessel under high pressure, accomplishing entire heating process in safe condition.
2. High strength vessel frame rotates in a chamber and makes the resonant cavity work in over-mode state, further, improves the evenness of microwave distribution in the chamber and guarantees the identity of reactions in all digestion vessels to some extent.
3. Every digestion vessel is clamped horizontally in the vessel frame, so the vessel frame has enough strength for balancing vertical expansive forces when the internal pressure of vessels rises continuously, further, prevents the neck of a sample dissolving cup from breaking when a digestion vessel is inserted vertically in the vessel frame and without the protection of upper and lower external forces.
4. Air release valve and blowout membrane are adopted to air release and pressure relief, as eliminates a common problem of similar products that a digestion vessel may leak and fail to digest when air release and pressure relief relies on the deformation of its roof plate and the deformed roof plate can’t fully recover and isn’t airtight any more.

A novel and exquisite trolley can freely send integrated digestion rotor to a chamber and take it out, relieve the heavy workload of artificial handling and avoid any hazards arising from an operator’s close contact with a high temperature and high pressure digestion vessel, or freely transport a digestion vessel to any place for convenient operation. The application of such trolley adequately embodies the individualized innovation awareness of the company.
All-round “active” and “passive” safety protection
1)Active safety protection:
* Mature platinum resistance temperature measurement and control and advanced piezoelectric crystal pressure measurement and monitoring guarantee the execution of every preset heating procedur
* Reliable software design and infrared (IR) noncontact full vessel scan monitoring can eliminate any probable damage arising from overtemperature or overpressure in time, and guarantee the safe work of all reaction vessels under controllable temperature and pressure.
* Outer vessels are made from high strength explosion and tear proof aeronautic composite fiber, so they fully eliminate horizontal blowout and their safety coefficient is very superior to that of existing universal organic modified PEEK material.
2) Passive safety protection:
a. The blowout membrane on vessel top supports “piercing” upon overpressure and can release overpressure gas in time;
b. Vessel bottom adopts blowout disc overpressure “cutting” technology, and can realize the quantitative control of internal pressure of all reaction vessels and avoid any damage arising from strong instant shock generated by a sudden chemical reaction;
c. Self popup explosion proof chamber door in six-layer intensified steel structure can release high pressure gas in the chamber through buffer in time once an explosion occurs;
d. Electronic and mechanical door lock can close a chamber door properly and lock a self-check system to guarantee safe and reliable lock of chamber door.

Professional microwave control technologies:
a. Double industrial magnetrons (2 x 1,000W) are adopted, the highest microwave output power is 1,800W, and the installed power of complete machine is 3,600W.
b. High efficiency environment-friendly automatic variable frequency control technology monitors and compares the changes of the internal temperature and pressure parameters of reaction vessels, regulates microwave transmission power at the high frequency feedback rate of 1/200 second, and realizes closed loop control and non-impulse continuous microwave heating.
c. A microwave homogenization device is built in 40-vessel integrated digestion rotor to improve the evenness of microwave distribution in the resonant cavity.
d. According to strict authoritative microwave emission detection, the microwave emission value is less than 1mw/cm2 and conforms to related national and international standards, and the safety performance of complete machine passes CE certification of European Union.
Advanced and reliable reaction parameter control system:
e. Advanced piezoelectric crystal sensing technology is adopted to pressure measurement, effectively guarantees the full isolation of samples from the external environment during normal digestion, extraction and other processes, avoids the leakage of closed interface and the cross contamination of samples in traditional ideal gas (high temperature fused mass) pressure measurement system, supports one-key operation and has the measurement range of 0 to 10 MPa (1,450 psi) accurate to 0.01 MPa.
f. High precision platinum resistance temperature sensor and IR full vessel scanning are adopted to temperature measurement and monitoring, effectively monitor and control the temperature parameters of all reaction vessels, in the temperature range of 0 to 300°C accurate to ±1°C. (High precision optical fiber temperature sensor is optional.)
Unique innovative high throughput digestion rotor:
g. The rotor can contain a 40-vessel integrated vessel frame structure for microwave magnetic field even mixing, and digestion vessels are clamped horizontally to obtain the protection of vessel frame and improve their vertical pressure resistance.
h. Every digestion vessel has the volume of 70 ml, outer vessels are made from high strength aeronautic composite fiber, while inner vessels from imported TFM material.
i. Dual overpressure protection and pressure relief mechanism: Vessel top blowout membrane supports “piercing” upon overpressure for releasing overpressure gas in time; vessel bottom adopts blowout disc overpressure “cutting” technology, and all reaction vessels follow the safe concept of “quantitative vertical blowout”, so any damage arising from instant indefinite explosive force generated by chemical reaction is avoided.
j. Individualized trolley for the distribution of integrated vessel frame and rotor can conveniently send a rotor loaded with digestion vessels to a chamber and take it out, relieving the labor strength of operators.
