TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS SCC – 100 MODEL CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

EQUIPMENT

Stoker SCC - 100 model continuous casting machine comprising resistance heated melting and casting furnace, mains transformer, withdrawal mechanism and all necessary controls & instrumentation.

FURNACE BODY

Robust fabricated steel furnace body with removable side panels to facilitate maintenance & inspection of furnace interior and critical high temperature components. Furnace body is water traced to ensure stability & long life

HEATING CHAMBER

The furnace body is fully insulated with high grade refractory material capable of withstanding 1450 degree centigrade. The insulation is done ceramic blankets & low mass insulation bricks to ensure minimum heat loss & the furnace body temperature is kept minimum.

TRANSFORMER

125 KVA , 3 phase,oil cooled very low voltage 16 to 24 volts. With tap changer on each phase

WITHDRAWAL MECHANISM

Self centering withdrawal mechanism with positive drive to each withdrawal shaft driven byAC servoMotorJapanease makefor Multiple rod withdrawal system for withdrawal of 4 Nos rods simultaneously. Through 2 No. dies.

ATMOSPHERIC CONTROL

To minimize oxidation of critical interior high temperature graphite components, as well as molten metal nitrogen gas is passed.

ALARM SYSTEM

Failure of nitrogen gas triggers an audible alarm.

CASTING DIE COOLERS

Water jacket & plate cooled coolers are supplied as standard kits. Probe cooling is also supplied.

TOOLING

Facility to adopt casting dies round & rectangular shape are manufactured from high density graphite. Casting dies must be ordered separately from the continuous casting machine according to customer's specific requirements.3 dies are free along with the machine

Integrated melting : 100 Kg/Hr*

Separate melting : 150 Kg/Hr*

CRUCIBLE

Capacity : 200 Kg

Crucibles are manufactured from solid graphite blocks. Crucibles may be manufactured to accept round as well as rectangular dies. Two crucibles are supplied with the machine.The crucibles are ANTI OXIDATION TREATED.
