KY SERIES CO-ROTATING TWIN SCREW PLASTIC EXTRUDER

Machine Principle

Twin screw extrusion is used extensively for mixing, compounding, or reacting polymeric material. The flexibility of twin screw extrusion equipment allows this operation to be designed specifically for the formulation being processed. For example, the two screws may be co-rotating or counterrotating, intermeshing or nonintermeshing. In addition, the configurations of the screws themselves may be varied using forward conveying elements, reverse conveying elements, kneading blocks, and other designs in order to achieve particular mixing characteristics.

◊ Principle for twin screw compounding

Details:

1. Extrusion system:(screw and barrel), Modular screw. Final screw set is configured in according with the process task and process conditions. All screw use CNC lathe and finish machining threadgrinder to ensure high process precision. Various pitches and lengths for compounding and extrusion technology.

Screw diameter: 20mm~150mm

The max output: 2~1500kg/h

Modular Screw structure designed forpolyolefins, Engineering Plastics and Masterbatch, closely intermeshing screw profile; Screw material: high speed tool steel-W6Mo5Cr4V2. After overall vacuum treatment, Hardness:HRC58-62.

2. Transmission System:gearbox with parallel & tri-axial structure is designed and produced by Kaiyou in-house.

3. Barrel temperature control system

Heating system: copper and cast aluminum heaters

Cooling system: inlet and outlet beneath the barrels, soft water cirlulation system, heat exchanger and SS pipes
