juice/tea pretreated system is used to prepare the syrup melting system and syrup filter system and different flavor mixing system .

1)Extraction System (if tea leaf)

Tea extract is to get the tea’s active ingredient by soaking the tea leaves in the hot water. The aim of the tea extract is to get the tea’s active ingredient efficiently while at the same time keeping the tea’s original color, smell and taste as much as possible, and preventing the ingredient that muddies the tea from coming out. It adopts fractional extraction. While during the process, non-polyphenols may come out from the tea leaves and muddies the tea soup. But through the control of extract parameters, this could be resolved. The extracted tea needs to be purified to get rid of the impurity, gelatin, and non-polyphenols macromolecular compound so as to prevent the tea from becoming muddy or precipitant. Two purified means are available, low temperature settling method (by high speed centrifugal) and membrane separation method (by ultra-filtration). The two means could be used separately or together.

2)Sugar dissolving System

Sugar is one of the main components of fruit juice beverage. The process of sugar cane dissolved in water is called sugar dissolving operation. The syrup melting System generally contains sugar powder transportation, sugar powder dissolving, syrup sterilizing, syrup filtrating & cooling and syrup storage, etc.In some circumstances, it needs syrup desaeration.

3)Preparation System

The concentrated juice should be reinstituted before preparation. Add the right amount of water make, the condensed juice is pre-dissolved and diluted, then sent to the blending rank, add syrup/other accessories and water, then being blended and get constant volume. The dissolving is divided into hot preparation and cool preparation. For hot preparation, the preparation tank is equipped with heat preservation device. The volume of the preparation tanks is decided by the capacity and production batch. Usually there are three tanks. Tank 1 feeds material to the filling machine, tank 2 preparing and detecting material, tank 3 is for CIP cleaning. 3 tanks switch in turn. If tank’s volume is enlarged, 2 tanks are enough. Preparation System includes the following assistant equipments: feeding pump, filter, pipes & valves, converting plate and so on.

4)UHT/HTST

The prepared juice beverage needs to be sterilized before filling. Hot sterilization is the most common technics. And according to the product’s characteristics, the matched filling technics and the shelf life, UHT and HTST are also available.UHT refers to keeping the material over 130°C for several seconds. While HTST refers to keeping the material at 95°C for 30 seconds. Either technics is similar in the working principle, and has the function of heating and heat preserving. The heat exchanger has plate type, tube type, sylphon bellows type, etc. For the pulp product and high viscosity product, the tube type exchanger is a must, in avoid of blockage. Also the tube type exchanger has a higher resistance capacity, but the production cost is higher than that of the plate type exchanger..

5)CIP System

CIP system is to clean the place that has contact with the material. The cleaning area includes inside surface of the tank, pipe and material tank and other places that the material passes. CIP system is composed of detergent storage tank, acid and alkali supply device, heating device, process pump, reflux pump, pipes, steam valves and so on. The main parameters of CIP system is the detergent’s categories, viscosity, temperature and velocity of flow. The alkali is usually of NaOH, acid is usually of nitric acid or phosphoric acid, the viscosity is 1-3%. After heating, the velocity of flow is 1.5-3m/s.

6)CO2 mixer (only for carbonated drink)

The mixer is to mix the syrup, water and carbon dioxide together. The equipment is made of degasser, sugar and water mixer, plate type heat exchanger, carbonized tank, pump and pipes. The degassed water is mixed with syrup at the certain ratio, and cooled to 0-2°C through plate type heat exchanger, than fully contact with the carbon dioxide in the carbonized tank, realizing carbonation.


7)Homogenizing and degassing system

The cloudy beverage needs to be processed through high pressure homogenizing operation which could arrange the constitutes well-distributed and enhances the beverage’s physical stability and taste. Homogenizer is a piston pump. The fluid flows through valve seat and valve core at a high speed, and the fluid is crashed superfine through cutting and high-velocity jetting.
