Installation of Insulation Silo

Different from general silo, insulation silo can keep a low temperature, which can keep the material in a good quality,

There are three layers in the wall, separately they are: galvanized steel sheet (inside); insulation rock wool (middle); color steel (outside), this can put insulating into practice.

Another hand,in the tropical zone, we will add a refrigerator under the bottom, blow the cold air into the silo.

The insulation silo can be used as cold-proof, winter protection, and widely used in tropical countries, to reduce temperature in silo, such as Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, New Zealand and Australia .etc.

Before now, TSE has both these two projects engineering.

Features of insulation silo

• 1.Thermal insulation
• Grain temperature change gradient inside silos is lower than that outside,thus not likely to have condensation of moisture.
• 2.Safe grain storage
• Storing in a low temperature,increase the grain storage stability,keeps the grain quality and prolongs the safe-storage period
• 3.Low fabrication cost
• With installing an insulation layer(Polyurethane froth,rubber single,glass fiber etc.) on the outer wall,insulation silo can have a low fabrication cost compared to concrete silo.

Insulation Silo Project in Myanmar, 2010:

This is our previous project of insulation silo in Myanmar, 2010. 10sets*1000t rice. Hopper bottom silo

The insulation coating is 100 percent, including the silo roof, silo body and hopper bottom.

It could prolong the life of grain and keeps grain in a good quality since the changes of ambient temperature will not influence the temperature inside silos.

Insulations are widely used in tropical area.

Special requirement(LARGE CAPACITY)

Sometime, client want large capacity silo which is hopper bottom silo, but steel leg hopper bottom silo can support a range of 10t to 1500 tons,

Generally, the method is adopting cement bottom silo which can support weight range from 1500tons to 15000tons.

Cost of it is higher than general one, but advantage of hopper bottom silo can put natural flow into practice.

the second advantage is that save power (flat bottom silo should use a sweep auger to run out the grain),
