1. Introduction of equipment

Rotary steam tube dryer (RSTD) is a kind of indirect-heated rotary dryer. The difference against the normal rotary dryer is that the former has steam tubes installed in the cylinder. The tubes are arranged in concentric rows, extend the full length of the shell and supply the heat for drying. This dryer is heat-conduct type equipment. There are atmospheric type and gas -tight type. The later is suitable for combustible and explosive situation. According to drying process requirement, there are counter-current type and co-current type. By the character of product, either powered or unpowered discharge screw can be chose for material feed and discharge.

The dryer is mainly comprised of shell, steam chest, heat exchange tubes, support rollers, driving unit, feed/discharge side seal, feed/discharge framework, etc.
