lose and open automatically to pre-fixed settings. This is ideal for swaging aluminum ferrules. - The “Auto Return” switch allows the dies to move up when pressing the “UP” foot pedal and moves down
automatically when released. This permits faster and more efficient swaging of carbon steel sleeves. - The distance between the die openings can be manually adjusted, reducing the waiting time for the dies to fully
open or close. - There is an emergency shut off switch.
- The swager can be operated by foot or by hand.
- The dies are fixed in place and move vertically.
- The dies are fully accessible in two-column frame design which allows a generous amount of room for large slings.

This photo was taken around 1980 in a specialist ship´s rigging workshop, The heavy steel cable was intended to anchor oil tankers in Reykjavik harbour and I accomplished the splice in 45 minutes.
