1. Introduction of Fly-ash Dryer

Fly-ash dryer is an improved high efficiency and energy saving product on the basis of single cylinder rotary dryer.

The application in number of enterprises and industries has proved that the capacity is increased by 40%-50% and the coal consumption is only 6-8kg/t.

It has been widely used to dry slag, clay, coal, iron powder, mineral powder and other mixed material in various industries, to dry dry-mixed mortar, yellow sand etc in construction industry, and to dry raw materials in chemical industry and casting industry.

2. Application of Fly-ash Dryer

Fly-ash dryer is mainly used to dry particle material within certain humidity range, such as yellow sand used in the industry of dry mortar industry, all kinds of sand used in casting industry, blast furnace slag , small particle size of clay used in cement industry, and small particle size material with no chemical change nor influence of heat and smoke.

The moisture content after drying can reach 1-0.5% or even lower according to the requirements about the final moisture of different industries.

3. Working Principle of Fly-ash Dryer

The material enters into the rotary drum to realize downstream drying. Materials are continuously lifted by the lifting board and scattered in the screw form to make heat exchange smooth.

The material moves to the other side of the drum into the middle part, and then counterflow drying occurs. Materials are raised continuously in this part and in the motion of two steps forward and one back . Thus materials fully absorb the heat coming from the inner cylinder and in the same time the drying time is prolonged.

The material moves to the other end of middle part and then fall into the outer. In the outer drum , materials move in the rectangular loop way. Materials having achieved the drying standard move fastly to discharge port under the effect of hot air. The rest materials having not met the drying effect can’t advance quickly because of the weight. Those materials are drying continuously in this rectangular lifting board untile drying process is completed.
