The Vertical Dividing Head can be conveniently employed for indexing up to 12 divisions and is ideally suitable for operations on drilling, jig boring and grinding machines where accuracy is indispensable. It is totally enclosed arid consists of:
- A close grained heavy-duty cast iron base with brinell hardness of 180 and above, and machined to H7 tolerances.
- A dividing plate with 12 notches made of heat-treated alloy steel, hardened and ground.
- A three-jaw self-centring chuck of 39 mm in diameter with bore in spindle making it suitable for holding jobs up to 19mm.
A single indexing and clamping lever. By actuating the indexing lever, the dividing plate can be unlocked when the upper part is free to rotate through the required arc. As soon as the indexing lever is released, the indexing and locking are automatically done.
