Key factors affecting sic heating elements silicon carbide heater life

1) Operating temperature

The higher temperature of STA sic heating elements silicon carbide heater, the shorter the life. Oxidation accelerates and the life shortens especially when the furnace chamber temperature exceeds 1600 celsius. Therefore, it is recommended the surface temperature of STA shall be kept as low as possible when in use. Namely, it is necessary to minimize the difference in temperature between inside the furnace chamber and the STA sic heating elements silicon carbide heater.

2) Surface loading

The surface loading density is expressed in terms of the electric power applied per square centimeter of the heating surface. As experience proves that the larger the surface loading density(electric power)of the element, the higher the surface temperature, but the higher the temperature, the shorter of the life of STA sic heating elements silicon carbide heater. Thus the surface loading density, the furnace atmosphere and temperature are in proportion to the element's aging speed ad inversely proportional to the element's service life.

3) Type of operation-continuous or intermittent
