The mother liquor mainly for pharmaceutical or chemical application is supplied into the conical vessel where no agitating equipment is installed. It is firstly filtrated by pressurization or vacuumization through a filter made of sintered metal, nonwoven fabric, cloth or paper which is best-suited to the requirement. The residual wet cake is then rinsed with rinsing solution or common solution while the vessel keeps static or rotating, as the product filtration properties require. The rinsed cake is dried by hot water from the external jacket of the vessel. After the product is dried, it is discharged from the valve. These processes are carried out serially in a single unit. Therefore, the disposition of product from one unit to another is not needed. The unit is cleaned thoroughly by CIP or SIP to validate the system.
