Filling gun technical date:

The XU filling gun is graduated to a minimum air used up of 60 l/min at 6 bar pressure when the cylinder is in completely closed position

Position 0: 60 l/min (minimum)

Position 1: 75 l/min

Position 2: 90 l/min

Position 3: 105 l/min

Position 4: 120 l/min

Position 5: 135 l/min

Position 6: 150 l/min

Position 7: 165 l/min

Position 8/0: 180 l/min (maximum)

The cylinder may only be turned one turn from the closed position and after every regulate the counter nut must be carefully tightened

To use the blowback on time after close function, compressed air onfilling gunopen/filling air must remain 1 second after air close is switched on.

The air pressure on filling gun close must be minimum the same as on open/filling.

When the air open/filling is switched on, the airfill gunclose must be switched off earlier or simultaneously.

Exchanging the seals of filling gun

By exchanging the U-seal, by the tip do not use any tools, the use of tools can damage the u-seal.

All filling gun have exchangeable tips from 20 to 36 mm.

When you use our fill guns you have to think unconventional. No need to maintain all fill guns every time you make a mould change and you do not need to keep an extra set of fill guns for the moulds. There are only 2 seals to check, so if you will be very safe, you can check both seals, while you change the filling guns from one mould to another.

No other parts than the 2 seals need to be changed. Most customers use thefilling guns5-10 year or even longer, as all critical parts are made of stainless steel such as outside barrel, piston etc. and the casing is made of pressed brass, and designed to last almost forever.

1st wear part: the u-seal lasts 6-12 months in 3-shift operation.

The u-seal: unscrew tip by hand, remove it with your finger, put a new seal in and screw the tip on again by hand.

2nd ware part: the double lip seal lasts 1-3 years in 3-shift operation.

The double lip seal: to change the only other wear part on the filling gun, the double lip seal, we also recommend to use them till the injector stops.

Unscrew the air cylinder pipe on the casing. Remove the double lip seal with your fingers. You put a new seal back on the piston with your fingers and screw the air cylinder pipe by hand into the casing.
