Silo Type Generally Used in Mill

Less than 1000t(include) per silo:Adopt hopper bottom silo, which can natural flow, power savely, but capacity limited for the steel leg can support limited weight.

More than 1000tons per silo:Adopt flat bottom silo, which can storing more grain, up to 10000t, but we should add a sweep auger in the silo bottom, to run the grain out.

The most cost savelyt silo:Flat bottom silo without Sweep auger, unloading by manual. this situation is suitable for different tons. but we need spent on manual cleaning in silo.

USA Cargill, 2sets *500tons silo, storing corn, in the past 6years, it never been maintained.

Generally speaking, we install ventilation system and temperature system in grain silo, the accessories is simple, cleaner, elevator, silo, these are enough.

you can see the flow path picture. the small room beside, truck unloading the grain into the bottom in the room, there is a belt conveyor in the bottom, it convey the corn to elevator, after elevating the grain goes into cleaner, after cleaning, corn goes into 2 silos through the conveyor on the silo roof. After unloading from silo, corn goes into mill through the conveyor on the ground.

This plastic model is made for a Congo client in 2013.7, which is also in feed mill, 2sets*500tons silos.

Characteristic of Feed Silo

Feed silo is generally used for storing grain, especially for corn/maize, before grain goes into mill, so the silo is build beside the mill. We purchase quantity of grain before the grain price raise, the silo can keep the grain in a good quality for a long time, and the corn can be uses for half one year or one year in the silo. After unloading from the silo, the grain is conveyed to mill by conveyor, when we use silo in feed mill, precleaning is necessary, we can add the cleaner before the silo, or after silo, all in all, make sure the grain is clean before milling. The silo is installed beside the animal room, send feed into the room through the auger pipe.
