Design Features of Substructure
1 Substructures are classified as box on box type,pieces mounting type,slingshot type, swing up type and telescoping type
2 Box on Box type substructure and pieces mounting type substructure, have a relative higher front platform,which is suitable for installation of standard BOP.And the back platform is relatively lower, which is suitable for installation of heavy equipment such as draw works and transmission unit etc.
3 Slingshot type substructures are used on electric drilling rigs, drill floor and equipment on it can be installed at low level. Mas is raised when drill floor is at low level, then drill floor and mast can be raised together.
4 There are hydraulic bumping cylinders on the left and right sides of drill floor, which are used as bumper when drill floor rising and also used as pushing power when drill floor are lowering down.
5 Swing up substructure drill floor and equipment on it can be installed at low level. Mast is raised when drill floor is at low level, then drill floor can be raised together.
6 Telescoping substructure: mast and substructure are raised with hydraulic power, while stress of all parts is reasonable.Telescoping substructure is light-weight and easy to assembly and move.
7 Substructures made by our company are in conformity with API Spec 4F.
