The series disc chippers produce a high-yield, uniform chip quality with low capital investment and low maintenance cost. It is available as a residual chipper or whole log chipper, mainly for round logs. Depending on the feed material, the chippers are available with vertical or slanted discs. The material is horizontally fed into the heavy disc which is equipped with knives. The cut is performed between the vertical rotor knives and the counter knives. The chips are discharged to below. For short feed material, the disc chipper is designed with a slanted feeding device.
