System Overview

In order to manufacture complicated components with high accurracy. Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines have to be used to produce the components. The instructions to control these machines are generated from computer CAD/CAM software, stored as NC files ans sent to the CNC machine via the RS232 serial port. However RS232 ports are no longer provided in standard notebooks and PCs.

The D1100 SD Card DNC Controller overcomes this problem by providing a simple and cost effective means to transfer NC files in and out of the CNC machine. It is easy to use. With the D1100, the user just needs to connect it to the RS232 port of the CNC machine via a short RS232 cable. The D1100 will read the NC file in the SD Card and send it to the CNC machine via the RS232 port. Similarly, the D1100 is also able to backup the NC file from the CNC machine.
