18 inch cutter suction dredger

The sand dredge is a kind of dismountable cutter suction dredger and non-propelled. The hull consists of three pontoons: the main pontoon, one side pontoon on port side and one side pontoon on starboard side. The cutter is directly driven by one low speed hydraulic motor. The two spuds are operated by means of a hydraulic ram. The two separate swing winches and the ladder winch are each driven by a low speed hydraulic motor. Oil for the hydraulic system is supplied by vane pumps. The dredge pump shall be driven by a diesel engine.

B. lay-out
From forward to aft the main pontoon carries: the cutter ladder, the two swing winches and the ladder winch, the operating cabin, the dredge pump with drive, the auxiliary diesel engine with auxiliaries, two spud hoisting rams and two spuds.
