Design and Manufacturing According to FDA&cGMP Standard

Brief Introduction:

This is an intermittent motion machine carrying out capping operations on star-wheel in one step (1 vial per time).

It is prepared to accept 1 vial size and 1 alu-cap size. This means that all parts necessary to handle these elements are included in the machine basic price.

No additional change-over sets are necessary for this project.

Main Structures:

FRAME

Base manufactured in steel with AISI 304 stainless steel panels.

Parts mounted to the working surfaces are manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel and sealed to prevent ingress of product to internal mechanisms.

The machine is mounted on legs, with stainless steel adjustable feet, allowing 200 mm. clearance under the machine for easy cleaning. Machine table working height: 925 +/- 25 mm.

ELECTRICALS

Power cabinet compact with the machine frame, included in an AISI 304 st. st. structure which can be open with no voltage only, controlling the infeed turntable too.

SIEMENS operator's panel compact with the machine frame, including all machines functions and the following devices :

pieces counter

speed indicator

hour meter

rejected pieces counter (if required).

Voltage: 220/380 V. – 50/60 Hz. - 3ph. (to be confirmed).

Controls: under 24 V.

VIAL FEEDING UNIT

For vial transport throughout the machine, the following items are

supplied:

Motorised conveyor belt in polyethylene at very low coefficient of friction for a regular and noiseless vial transport.

It is complete with st. st. side guides, adjustable in width and height.

Conveyor belt is raised as to the machine working desk to facilitate the cleaning operations.

Arnite main star-wheel and guide for vial moving to the sealing unit.

Vial exit onto conveyor belt.

ALU-CAP APPLICATION UNIT (1A)

This unit is placed around the main star-wheel and will apply the alu-cap on filled and stoppered vials.

PROTECTION GUARD

Protection guard in AISI 304 st. st. structure and polycarbonate panels. The guard is complete with micro-switches to stop the machine at the opening of the doors.

SAFETY DEVICES

Standard safety devices assuring machine correct running are:

- Vial low level at infeed. Machine stop with automatic restart.

- Vial not upright at infeed. Machine stop with manual restart.

- Alu-cap low level in the feeding chute. Machine stop with automatic restart.

- Missing of the alu-cap on vial. Machine stop with manual restart (incomplete vial automatic rejection, on request).

- Vials back-up at outfeed. Machine stop with automatic restart.

- Guards opening. Machine stop with manual restart.
