Aim of the Pilot Filter Trial:

Test the comparative performance of the AD Filter Bags technology against the standard cylindrical filter bags using dust laden process gasses at the power station.

1.Compare the differential pressure profile during the build up of dust cake of each bag design.

2.Comparatively assess the pulse cleaning demand and operational limits for each bag design.

The Condition of Filter Experiment:

1.90*1m*152mm filter bag housing.

2.Independent induction fan available.

3.Programmable on-demand or continuous cleaning.

4.Instrumentation to measure process variables.

5.Flow, cell DP, and emissions.

6.Data logging software within Goyen Controller.

The Procedure of Filter Experiment:

1.Pilot filter was hard piped between the dust laden stream and the clean air plenum in the main bag house.

2.Vary pilot filter controls to establish suitable operating conditions and test parameters.

---Parameters established at a differential pressure range of 3.2 to 4.2 inches w.g. and pulse pressure range of 60 to 75 psi.

3.Run AD-Bags at the set differential pressure range and pulse pressure ranges and record the pilot data and process data.

4.Run standard bags at the same settings as theAD-Bagssettings and record the pilot data and process data to verify the similar process conditions.
