This Automatic Backwashing Screen Filter is hydraulic-driven filter Model PHF, which is an automatic self cleaning screen filter.The filter uniqueness lies in the automatic suction system for cleaning the screen.This system is operated by the inline water pressure without interfering the filtration process.The screen cleaning process is short, efficient, saves water and leaves the screen clean.

Dirty water enters the filter through the inlet port, passing through the coarse screen and thefine screen and flows out to the outlet. The sediments stopped on the screen create a"cake" of sediment. This "cake" improves filtration efficiency as it performs a finer filtration.The sediments accumulated on the screen, create a differential pressure across the screen.The differential pressure rises until the predetermined value is reached normally 0.5 bar (7.5 psi).

A pressure switch activates the self cleaning process. A timer backup guarantees that the timepassed from the last self cleaning process will not be longer than the preset value determinedby the user. this controller can be DC or AC depends on site power supplyment.

On a flushing command, the flushing valve opens to the atmosphere and creates pressuredrop in the motor chamber , causing the dirt to be sucked in from the screen by the nozzles. This pressure drop also moves the piston and the collector in a liner movement. Inaddition, the hydraulic motor rotates the collector.These two processes performed simultaneously, create a helical movement of the nozzles sothey cover the whole screen surface, enabling complete and effective cleaning of the screen.The entire process takes approximately 20 seconds. Upon completion of the cleaning processthe filter returns to its initial position.This self cleaning flushing cycle can be initiated by DP switch, timer backup or manual.

Available in the following inlet sizes: 4", 6", 8", 10", 12", 14", 16" ,18" and 20". Also it is can be grouped for huge flow up to 2000m3/h.

8.Automatic self cleaning of the screen - activated by time elapsed or pressure difference
