The DC disk-brake of the UAEJ-series motor is mounted on the endshield the non-drive end.The electromagnetic brake starts up. By the action of elec-tromagnetic force, the iron core attracts the armature and compresses the spring. When the brake disk is separated from the armature and endshield,the motor begins to run. When power is off, the ironcore of the brake loses elctro-magnetic fore. When the carmature is pulled by the spring to compress the brake disk, the motor is stopeed at once by the moment of friction.
