Ball Mill is a type of grinder, is a cylindrical device used in grinding materials like ores, chemicals, ceramic raw materials, cement and paints. Ball mills rotate around a horizontal axis, partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium. Different materials are used as media, including ceramic balls, normal steel balls, chrome balls and stainless steel balls.

Working Principle

Ball mills rotate around a horizontal axis, partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium. In the process of rotation, the material is crushed and ground by itself as well as the balls. Finally the finished material will be discharged from the discharge opening with water flow. So need to feed water in the cylinder continually.
