Determing the chain length

Fixed point at the centre of total travel

the chain length (L) is calculated by summarising the half stroke LA/2 to the nominal value (b) of the bending radius.The value is then rounded up the multiply of the chain pitch for nylon cable chains and to an odd multiply for steel chains.

Fixed point not positioned at the centre of total travel

The chain length (L) is calculated by summarising the half stroke LA/2 the nominal value (b) of the bending radius and the distance (DPJ) from fixed piont to centre of total stroke.

The value is then rounded up the multiply of the chain pitch for nylon cable chains and to an odd multiply for steel chains.

Long Horizontal Travel Distance
