Porous ball,also known as filtering ceramic ball,is formed after boring on the basis of inert alumina ball or ceramic column.Both porous ball and inert alumina ball share the same accumulation vidage,and play the role of catalyst coverage&support and vapor-liquid separation.Comparing with inert alumina ball,structured pores with absorption function increased by 20-30% so that it can filter impurities in the oil.As oil impurities are in the form of granular, colloid,bitumen-like and heavy metals,part of them can be filtered out after going through raw material filter.But there is still a significant portion,e.g.,those granular impurities or iron ion which size less than 25μm,is not able fo fiter out.
If porous ball is loaded on the top of the reactor,those impurities,which was not removed from raw material early,will be filtered out after absorption of porous ball.
