L293D Dual Motor Driver Module PWM Control Shield MCU Robot Development Project

DESCRIPTION

This is a recently developed L293D Dual Motor Driver Module Board. It is a highly efficient dual motor drive module, using 4 (instead of 6)IO ports to control two motors. The 4-port feature gives us more more flexibility with ports.

With this module, our motors can go forward, backward, stop, PWM with smoothly adjustable speed.


This module is also equipped with 2 x motor status LED lights. As we can see from photo, the two LEDs show status of Motor 1 (M1) and Motor 2 (M2)

The LED is red when motor go clock-wise, and green when motor goes anti clock-wise. If the duty cycle from 0% to 100% of continuous change, then the light color gradually turns from red to green. From the the color of light you can see the motor speed and operating conditions, to avoid some of the modules need to access the oscilloscope to read the PWM value.


The module is small, easy to operate, is suitable for DIY cars chassis, wheeled robots, motor control and other similar projects.
