Application:

The block ice is use to reduce temperature, especially in Africa country where the power is not stable and the climate temperature is high. When the power is off, people use the block ice to cooling the drinking and beverage. And block ice is also used to keep fish fresh or crushed into small pieces to fresh vegetable and fruit.

Theory of brine system block ice machine working:

The four indispensable parts of refrigeration system is compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator.

Compressor:With the drive of motor, the compressor compresses the gas refrigerant with low temperature and low pressure into gas refrigerant with high temperature and high pressure.

Condenser:The gas refrigerant with high temperature and high pressure from oil separator will enter into condenser. The refrigerant in condenser exchanges heat with cooling water from cooling tower and then it becomes liquid refrigerant also with high temperature and high pressure.

Expansion Valve:With the function of shunting and decompression, expansion valve changes liquid refrigerant with high temperature and high pressure into liquid refrigerant with low temperature and low pressure.

Evaporator:In evaporator, the liquid refrigerant with low temperature and low pressure exchanges heat with salt water which is pumped from salt water tank. The liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from salt water and it becomes gas refrigerant. At the same time, temperature of salt water drops quickly under zero. The salt water returns into tank and makes the water in ice moulds into ice. (The specialty of salt water: when temperature drops under zero, the water in ice-box freezes but the salt water won’t freeze.)
