Classification of wet magnetic separator

Wet drum magnetic separator is suitable for strongly magnetic mineral. According to tank structure pattern can be divided intoco-current, half-countercurrent, and countercurrent 3 kinds.

Co-current type magnetic separator(that is CTS) characteristicsadvantages: have a large capacity,suitable for processingcoarse granularity (0-6mm) strong magnetic materialsselection and selection can also work more than one thread. Disadvantages: when Co-current magnetic separator is fed more capacity iron ore, magnetic mineral particles easily lost in the tailings, so to strengthen the operational management and control to be a low pulp level.

Countercurrent type magnetic separator (CTN)characteristicsadvantages: with a higher recovery rate, suitable forfine-grained (0-1.5mm) strong magnetic mineralsroughing and scavenging operations. Disadvantages: to get lower concentrate grade. Because coarse-grained material easy to plug the sorting room, so countercurrent-type magnetic separator does not be suitable for dealing with coarse-grained materials.

Advantagesofhalf-countercurrent type magnetic separator (CTB)characteristics: toget high-quality iron ore concentrate, and better recovery, it is suitable for processing 0.5-0mm of the mineral particles, so half-countercurrent magnetic separator is widely used in different kind of industry.

Wet drum magnetic separator magnetic component

Wet Drum Separator Permanent magnetic system, using high-quality ferrite and rare-earth magnet material to be composited, the average tube surface magnetic flux density of 100 ~ 600mT (1000Gauss-6000Gauss). Wet drum magnetic separator mainly made up of thepermanent magnet cylinder, roller, magnetic system, tank, transmission parts 5 parts.

Structure:

CTB series wet drum permanent magnetic separator consists of magnetic drum, tank body, support, feed box, discharge box (ore concentrate box), drive motor, motor reducer, control box, etc.

The magnetic drum is made of stainless steel (thickness: 3mm) and covered with wear resistant rubber.

Working principle:

When the raw materials flow into the tank body of the wet drum magnetic separator, firstly, the flowing direction of the raw materials is the same as the rotary direction of the magnetic drum, the iron magnetite materials are attracted to the surface of drum. This is the first separation. In the second step, the flushing water below flush the raw materials back for the second separation. This time the flowing direction of the raw materials is opposite to the rotary direction of the magnetic drum. Then along with the rotation of drum, the iron magnetite materials on the surface of drum will finally leave the magnetic field and fall to the ore concentrate box under gravity. Also, the flushing water above helps to flush the iron magnetite into the ore concentrate box. The weak magnetic and non-magnetic materials can not be attracted and will flow to the discharge pipe for tailings.
