Coal-charging cars

Coal-charging car is designed for charging cokeovens with coal charge.
Main operations carried our with the machine: opening/shutting of coal tower gates, lifting/replacing of charging hole lids, transferring of coal charge from bunkers into coke oven. Number of auxiliary operations carrying out with the machine shall be determined as per its version.
The machine shall travel from coal tower to coke ovens and back on track placed on top of coke oven battery.
Coal-charging car is made as steel-work with mechanisms, cabins, platforms, pipelines between electric/hydraulic equipment. Coke oven battery shall be completed with sets of units consisting of one working unit and one stand-by unit each. The machine shall operate as a unit with other coke machines: coke pusher, guide car, coke-quenching car or coke-transferring car which shall be determined with coke pushing schedule.
The machine assembly shall be lubricated with grease via centralized lubrication system.
Mechanisms equipped with hydraulic pipe lines shall have emergency hand-operated drives. Bunkers of the machine can be unloaded by means of gravitation or via screw feeders mounted on the bunkers.

The machine shall be operated from operator’s cabin equipped with all means of service considering ergonomic requirements. Power supply of the coal-charging car shall be carried out from current conductors through current. The machine shall be operated by from cabin and have illumination, sound/light alarm and special interlocks.
To increase coal flood speed and prevent coal hang-up in bunkers, the machine shall have electric vibrator. Electrical equipment reliability and positioning accuracy shall be provided by means of modern engineering solutions and component parts from world-wide known manufactures. Electrical equipment of the machine can work with ACS of coke-oven battery.

A coal charging car, also called a coal car, is a kind of coke oven equipment on the top of coke oven applied to convery coal from the coal tower to the carbonization room through the charging hole.
