Introduction of Rotary Dryer

Rotary dryer is widely used to dry materials in industries like cement, mine, construction, chemical, food, compound fertilizer, etc. Thermocouples are installed in feeding and discharging units to control temperature. Temperature change of the dryer also can be indicated by the thermometer, which is convenient for temperature control inside the dryer ( it’s usually 250-350°C).

Structure of Rotary Dryer:

Rotary dryer consists of shell, front and rear supporting wheels, feeding and discharging devices, gear drive and gear cap. The accessories like firebox, feeding and discharging equipment and dust collector are not included as parts of the dryer.

Because of the adoption of reasonable working parameters, the rotary dryer, manufactured by our company, can save 10-15% energy and increase production by 10-15%, and is widely used in industries like cement, ore beneficiation, etc.

Working Principle of Rotary Dryer:

Rotary dryer’s heat source is a combustion apparatus. It adopts direct flow heating with heat source from firing unit. The material to be dried is pushed back immediately by spiral board after going in the shell from feeding tank or feeding chute. Because the drier is installed in an inclined position, material flows to the back end under gravity and rotation force. At the same time, it is lifted by board repeatedly and thrown down accordingly, which makes the material form an even curtain, so that it can exchange heat sufficiently with the heat flow.
